A suspended Fort Lupton High School teacher and track coach facing sex assault charges in Adams County on Thursday was charged in Weld County as well.
Ray Phillip Brown, 56, of Firestone is accused of numerous incidents of “inappropriately touching” one of his female team members last spring, according to the Weld County district attorney’s office.
Brown faces felony sex-assault charges in Weld County and similar charges in Adams County.
In August, Brown was arrested after a teenage girl told her parents Brown began rubbing her back and then fondled her while at a track meet in Thornton in May.
The Weld County DA’s office said the latest charges stem from the school’s investigation into Brown’s conduct.
