OGALLALA, Neb.—Authorities say a rollover crash killed two people and injured six others north of Lake McConaughy in western Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says the accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, 11 miles north of Kingsley Dam on Nebraska Highway 61 in Keith County.

A patrol news release says eight people were riding in the extended-cab pickup when the driver lost control of it. It rolled several times, landing on its top in a field.

One of the fatalities is identified as 28-year-old Megan Spotted Tail, of Denver. She was riding in the pickup’s bed. The name of the other fatality is not available yet, pending notification of his family.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Scottsbluff and Ogallala, Neb., and Denver, Colo.
