For emerging artists, one of the biggest goals is getting your music to the masses. Part of that is the EPK, or the electronic press kit, a video that introduces music lovers and writers to your story, your music, your band, your background.
Denver’s brand-new EPK is now online, and the Brantley Gutierrez-directed short film, above, is a potent snapshot of the artist and his many muses. Rateliff will release “In Memory of Loss” in April on Rounder Records.
“My goal is to make people have honest emotions and a real experience by listening to music in the same way that I feel or the same way that most people feel when they listen to music — that it touches them in some way,” Rateliff says in the video.
