One person has died and three people have been injured in a roll-over crash in Lakewood.
The crash happened at about 2:05 p.m. near C-470 and the West Alameda Parkway, said Steve Davis, a Lakewood Police Department spokesman.
The vehicle that crashed apparently “struck” another vehicle before rolling off the highway and down and embankment.
A female died at the scene and a woman was taken to Saint Anthony Central Hospital, according to the West Metro Fire Protection District.
A child between the ages of 8 and 14 was taken by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Aurora.
One person in the second car was taken by ambulance to Littleton Hospital, according to a West Metro media release.
The crash knotted traffic in the area, with cars backing up on C-470, Alameda and Rooney Road.
