WESTMINSTER, Colo.—The Westminster Police Department says two of its officers are being investigated for sexual assault allegations in Broomfield.
Westminster police said Friday the two officers are on administrative leave while Broomfield authorities investigate the case. The names of the officers were not released. They were off-duty at the time of the allegations.
Westminster police spokesman Trevor Materasso says the department will conduct its own investigation when Broomfield finishes looking into the case.
Details of the allegations were not released. Materasso says the Westminster police are taking the allegations seriously.
