A Thunder Ridge High School student who died from injuries he sustained in a rollover accident on Monday has been identified as 16-year-old Joseph Carvalho.

The car containing four juvenile males went out of control and rolled twice at the intersection of Highlands Ranch Parkway and Venneford Ranch Road about 7:41 p.m. Monday.

The car contained two 17-year-olds and and two 16-year-olds. All were transported to local hospitals.

At least two were not wearing seat belts, according to investigators.

Cocha Heyden, spokeswoman for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, said that the three other teenagers have been released from the hospital.

Heyden said that the investigation into the accident is on-going.
