Pain seminar
Tuesday: Those who suffer from chronic pain due to fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, diabetes mellitus II and other neuropathies are invited to a seminar “How to Overcome Neuropathy Pain without Drugs” with Max Stanley Chartrand, Ph.D., 4-6:30 p.m. Dr. Chartrand, associate professor in Behavioral Medicine, has written several health books and has lectured extensively in the United States, Canada and more than a dozen foreign countries. “Get Fit at the Garden: A Walk for Wellness”
Wednesday: Garden of the Gods offers a weekly fitness walk Wednesday mornings. Participants can choose a 1-, 2- or 3-mile walk. Meet at 9 a.m. in the Red Rocks Room. Wear appropriate shoes and bring a hat, water and sunscreen. A reception with a free snack will be held in the Visitor Center Cafe. Walks continue through November. Fit For Fire 5K Walk/Run
Nov. 21: The Friends of the Denver Fire Department and the Denver Fire Fighters Burn Foundation have partnered with the Denver Fire Department’s Wellness Division for this benefit 5K Walk/Run. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Race time is 9 a.m., Kids Fun Run begins at 10 a.m. Registration fees are $30 adults, $25 youth 17 and under, $25 seniors 65 and over. All fees are an additional $5 on race day. A family expo with antique fire trucks, the Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado and entertainment is included. Turkey Day 5K Family Fun Run
Nov. 25: The Chamber of Commerce of Highlands Ranch presents the seventh annual Turkey Day 5K Family Fun Run. Yoplait’s Save Lids to Save Lives
