DENVER—Interstate 70 in Colorado’s High Country is back open following weather closures.
Westbound Interstate 70 at the Eisenhower Tunnel was temporarily shut down Wednesday morning because of an accident and snowy conditions.
Blowing snow had also closed a 65-mile stretch of I-70 between Idaho Springs and Vail Tuesday night but that stretch has also since reopened.
The road over Loveland Pass remained closed but Berthoud Pass has reopened, good news for those headed to opening day at Winter Park. The ski resort received 6.5 inches of new snow from the latest storm.
