FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Border War between Colorado State and Wyoming kicks off with Colorado State Army ROTC cadets running the game ball from Fort Collins to the border.

The cadets will run 39 miles along U.S. 285 to the Colorado-Wyoming border Friday. Wyoming ROTC cadets will run the ball the remaining 26 miles to War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyo.

The Colorado cadets take off at 6:20 a.m. Friday at Hughes Stadium after representatives of the Rams football team hand off the game ball. A ceremony is planned at 1 p.m. at the state line.

Kickoff for the game—and the battle for the Bronze Boot—will be at noon Saturday in Laramie.
