Thirty Seconds to Mars conjures as much adoration as hatred, and it’s easy to see why. The 12-year-old rock trio, led by actor Jared Leto (at his most fashionably victimized) churns out soaring, melody-drenched anthems that snarl like grunge but are ultimately soft to the touch. Detractors cite the band’s contrived image and corporate marketing savvy, but fans wouldn’t have it any other way (for example, the group’s 2009 full- length, “This Is War,” featured 2,000 different album covers — all of them photos of different fans). The band returns to the Fillmore Auditorium on Jan. 21, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($29.50, )

Ke$ha is the most honest kind of pop star. The 23-year-old singer, best known for her club-happy 2009 hit “Tik Tok,” readily acknowledges her disposability and trashy persona. It’s all part of the game, in other words, for her to be so candid in the drive toward chart domination. She’ll stop by the Fillmore Auditorium on Feb. 19 as part of her first North American tour, dubbed (not so shockingly) “Get $leazy.” Tickets for the all-ages show are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($30-$35, )

Daniel Tosh added a 10:30 p.m. show to his Jan. 15 appearance at the Wells Fargo Theatre in the Colorado Convention Center. The comedian is running hot right now with his hit Comedy Central clip show, “Tosh.O.” Tickets are on sale. ($35-$45, Ticketmaster)

Umphrey’s McGee is gearing up for the release of next year’s digital EP series in the best way it knows how: by announcing a coast-to- coast tour that will keep it busy from now until late March. Tickets for the Chicago jam band’s Feb. 11 show at the Fillmore are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($25, )

Scissor Sisters had the Ogden Theatre crowd eating out of its glittery hands in September, so it’s no surprise the band is returning there for a March 20 show to further promote this year’s disco-soaked “Night Work.” Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($32.50-$38, Ticketmaster)

Morcheeba, the ’90s U.K. act beloved by aging stoners everywhere, is touring on some good news: Founding singer Skye Edwards has rejoined the group for the evocatively titled new album “Blood Like Lemonade.” The band visits the Ogden Theatre Feb. 26, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($15-$25, Ticketmaster)

The Decemberists seem fussy to some, but the Portland indie group’s literary affectations set it apart from the usual woe-is-me songwriting plaguing the genre. Tickets for their Feb. 9 show at the Boulder Theater and Feb. 10 show at the Ogden, both with Mountain Men, are on sale at 11 a.m. today and 10 a.m. Saturday, respectively. ($30-$43.25, and Ticketmaster)
