The Colorado Supreme Court has agreed to hear a campaign-finance case involving two groups that aided Republican legislative candidates in 2008.
Colorado Ethics Watch, which filed the original complaints, challenged whether the two groups could operate as a “527” and collect unlimited donations, yet advocate on behalf or against a candidate in the same manner as political committees, which have contribution limits.
