“Cupcakes and Couture,” the first fundraiser for a proposed Denver Design Incubator, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, at Jet Hotel, 1612 Wazee St. Tickets, $20, include a cocktail, cupcakes and entertainment. Colorado designers will show their works, and a silent auction of fashion items will also be held. The incubator is a non-profit organization modeled after successful ventures in Toronto, Chicago and New York. The group’s board includes designers, fashion lawyers and finance experts, educators, and retail specialists.
