MINNEAPOLIS — A snowstorm has pushed today’s New York Giants- Minnesota Vikings game to Monday night.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the decision Saturday night, with the Giants stuck in Kansas City, Mo., because of the weather in Minnesota that brought 15 or more inches of snow.

Aiello said the decision was made on the recommendation of Metrodome officials.

The Vikings announced the game will kick off at 6 p.m. MST and remain televised by Fox in the Minnesota and New York markets.

Two teams tied at Shootout

NAPLES, Fla. — Champions Tour players Fred Funk and Kenny Perry shot 10-under-par 62 in better-ball play for a share of the second-round lead at the Shark Shootout with defending champions Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly.

Stricker and Kelly had a 63 to match Funk and Perry at 18-under.

Iben Tinning of Denmark ended her career with a victory at the Dubai Ladies Masters in the United Arab Emirates, clinching the win with a birdie on the last hole to hold off Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist by two shots.

Anthony Michael will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship after shooting a 1-under 71 at the European Tour event in Malelane, South Africa.

U.S. speedskaters sweep

OBIHIRO, Japan — Americans swept the 1,000-meter races at a World Cup speedskating meet, with Shani Davis capturing the men’s event and Heather Richardson taking the women’s race.

• Russia’s Alexsandr Zubkov won his second World Cup gold in two days, edging Germany’s top four-man bobsled by 0.03, while hometown favorite Steve Holcomb finished a disappointing sixth in Park City, Utah.

• Italy’s Armin Zoeggler won the men’s World Cup luge event at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta, finishing with a two-run time of 1 minute, 29.651 seconds.

Marit Bjoergen of Norway earned her 40th individual cross country World Cup victory, and Alexey Poltaranin of Kazakhstan won his first in Davos, Switzerland.

America’s Cup on the move?

SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden Gate Yacht Club has told San Francisco it will lose the right to host the next America’s Cup unless an agreement is signed by Friday.

America’s Cup official Stephen Barclay said San Francisco officials have changed key points in an agreement that had been negotiated between the city and the yacht club and then sent to the Board of Supervisors for approval.
