BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder’s drop-and-run artist has apparently hit again, leaving a 15-foot sculpture on the lawn of a history museum.
The Daily Camera reports the metal-wrapped post featuring skis, bike parts and other recycled items found Tuesday in front of the Boulder History Museum is similar to one found Saturday in Donna Coughlin’s front yard.
The Boulder woman suspects the artwork came from a University of Colorado master of fine arts graduate who left her a giant bug sculpture in 1987. Coughlin caught the artist as he disassembled the bug.
Artist Mark Guilbeau, originally from Lafayette, La., is thought to be visiting the Denver area.
Like the sculpture left in 1987, the two recent mysterious pieces of work came with pairs of earrings.
