According to Twitter , they’re overseas in Europe playing with the likes of Gogol Bordello at the moment, but the gypsy renegades are still trudging full steam ahead with promotion on their forthcoming album “100 Lovers,” slated for release March 1. The latest single off their upcoming album, “Contrabanda,” is included in the Anti- Records 2010 Fall Sampler ($2.99 over at ) and available for stream below. Don’t forget, you and a loved one can fall in love all over again by celebrating Valentine’s Day 2011 with DeVotchKa over at the Fillmore Auditorium on February 12th (buy your tickets ). Also, in case you noticed something oddly familiar about the music in the upcoming film, ‘‘, starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, i’s because you’re listening to the sounds of DeVotchKa lead man Nick Urata. Those guys know how to stay busy!

has remained über-busy since the came out about the release of their forthcoming album this January, “Cape Dory.” Denver’s favorite husband/wife team made a trek to the West Coast last month for a string of shows and squeezed in a visit with the extremely popular videographer, , where they discussed life at sea for days at a time with no electricity and performed the track, “Pigeon.” (Check it out below.) GIT SOME GETS SOME – WITH DAVID EUGENE EDWARDS

The name David Eugene Edwards is best known ’round these parts for his work in 16 Horsepower, but these days he is working hard with his critically acclaimed band . They opened up for Tool this past summer at Red Rocks and will soon seek the open road in support of their seventh album, “The Threshingfloor.” In case Wovenhand gets homesick, they have chosen Denver screamo-noize band to accompany them on their jaunt out west. Lucky for local fans, the tour starts here in town on January 15 at the .

U.K. LOVE FOR WENTWORTH KERSEY

Congrats to space gazing vaqueros . Their music was included on the with Steve Lamacq show recently that had the duo rubbing elbows with the likes of the Drums, Cornershop, Joy Division and others.
