The lucky kids that attend the Valentine’s Day release party February 12 at the will have first crack at the record. While you guys enjoy the stop-motion video for “100 Other Lovers” below, I will take out my copy of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and try to rekindle the days of my youth.

FaceMan gets ready for their closeup
Reverb caught up with David Thomas Bailey from in anticipation of their “First Waltz” this Friday at the alongside , , and more in a star-studded night celebrating the strong Denver music scene. If we’re lucky, the guys will play musical chairs on stage with their instruments.
Why the name FaceMan?
The name FaceMan was chosen because originally the singer was anonymous. He would sit inside of this eight-foot face sculpture while videos were synced to each song in the eyes of the sculpture. We now have a metal face sculpture made by James Ronner. It is great…but heavy. FaceMan’s name is still unknown, although he now shows his face.
How does FaceMan embody the Denver music scene?
All three of the core members: FaceMan, myself on guitar and Ryan Elwood on drums, are active in the local music community. We love the community in Denver and want everyone to know how great the music is in this city. Denver is a global cultural seat.
How did the recruiting/selection of Denver bands occur?
We are certainly, with this event, trying to foster a spirit of cooperation, not competition among Denver bands. The selection process was simple. We would basically play shows with other bands, if other acts were on the bill that we liked, we would ask them to be involved.

Fancy Tiger + Hercules and Love Affair’s Andy Butler this Friday
It seems that Matt Brown from is giving Matt LaBarge from a run for his South Broadway money. The grand re-opening of Fancy Tiger will occur this Friday at the newish location, 18 S Broadway, with the help of Andy Butler from . The NYC group is currently celebrating a new album release from last week “Blue Songs,” via which you can stream below. The U.S. release of the album is still in the works.
