GREELEY, Colo.—Noble Energy plans to build a field office in Greeley that will house at least 300 employees.

Noble spokesman Jonathan Ekstrom tells the Greeley Tribune that the energy company employs hundreds of people in the region. The company currently has an office in Platteville, which is expected to stay open.

The new office would house oil and gas field workers, executives and other workers. It will be a 66,500-square-foot building on 23 acres.

Ekstrom says the company hopes to finish the office in 2012.
