Jason Schwartzman is taking on a new role: dad.
The “Bored to Death” star and wife Brady Cunningham welcomed their first child in Los Angeles on Dec. 4, UsMagazine reported.
The couple, who wed in July 2009, named their daughter Marlowe Rivers Schwartzman.
“I’m lucky I found a woman that I love and that’s amazing,” Schwartzman told People last fall of his fashion designer wife. “I’m having a family and I feel very happy. I try to be a good father-to-be. I try to treat my wife well (so she can) enjoy these months.”
He added that he was excited to introduce his firstborn to the world – and to some of society’s guiltiest pleasures.
“I just can’t wait to hold that bundle in my arms and show it ‘Jersey Shore,'” he joked.
Singer Akon thrilled fans at a New Year’s Eve concert in Africa by crowd-surfing in a giant hamster ball.
The “Smack That” hitmaker was ringing in 2011 with a free gig for 100,000 fans in Senegal, which he headlined, when he climbed inside an enormous, clear inflatable sphere.
He then rolled the ball into the audience and was held aloft by the crowd as he continued to perform, according to TMZ.
Sam Ronson is reportedly furious that her ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan has moved in next door — literally — and the DJ wanted to make it crystal clear, “Trust me, it wasn’t planned.”
As Ronson tried to get out of her Venice, Calif., house photogs tried to ask about the situation … but a frustrated Sam replied, “Dude, I’m way too p— off right now.”
Why so angry? Well, for starters, she could barely get out of her garage on Monday because she was blocked by Lohan’s moving van, according to TMZ.
Drew Barrymore knocked $1 million off her new home in Santa Barbara, bagging the luxury mansion for a discounted $7 million, according to London’s Daily Mail.
The Mediterranean-style villa sits in the exclusive enclave of Montecito, where homes start at more than $2 million.
Drew is moving north of Los Angeles to one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the U.S.
Among her new neighbors will be Oprah Winfrey and fellow actors John Cleese, Kirk Douglas, Steve Martin, Rob Lowe and Billy Baldwin.
Drew’s new 72-year-old 3.5-acre estate boasts floor-to-ceiling windows in the stately dining room overlooking a Roman-style pool and landscaped gardens.
