HONOLULU—The Big Island woman who was injured in a Nov. 19 crash in North Kona involving former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan has filed a lawsuit.
According to West Hawaii Today, Theresa Wang’s lawyer filed the suit against 27-year-old Shakti Stream of Kailua-Kona in state court on Dec. 30. It seeks special and general damages that could exceed $150,000.
Police say Wang’s car apparently was struck head-on by an SUV driven by Stream, Brennan’s girlfriend.
Brennan and Stream were treated and released in about a week.
However, the 47-year-old Wang suffered life-threatening injuries and is now in a Denver rehabilitation hospital that specializes in brain and spinal cord injuries.
