A music teacher at Florida Pitt Waller School in Denver was arrested Thursday after child pornography was discovered on his personal computer, police said.
The teacher, Tait Owen Anderson, 32, had been working at the Denver Public Schools K-8 for three years.
John White, a spokesman for Denver police, said it is not believed any students were victims, but an investigation is ongoing.
Anderson was charged with sexual exploitation of children, a Class 3 felony. Anderson appears to have no criminal record, according to Colorado court records.
He was being held at Denver County Jail but was released Friday, according to jail operators.
Kristy Armstrong, a spokeswoman for DPS, said Friday that Anderson has been placed on paid administrative leave and said the district is cooperating with the police.
