A Denver police officer got into a car accident on East Colfax Avenue this afternoon and the injured officer was taken to a local hospital.
The patrol car collided with another vehicle at about 2:20 p.m. near East Colfax Avenue and Washington Street, said Lt. Matt Murray, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
The officer was the only person taken to the hospital, Murray said.
Police did not release further details on the collision or the officer’s injuries.
