Former Iowa wrestling coach Dan Gable will appear on an episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on ABC. The show features home renovations for needy families in the Iowa City, Iowa, area. Gable will appear in tonight’s episode. Gable coached at Iowa from 1977-97. He produced 152 All-Americans, 45 national champions and won nine consecutive NCAA championships from 1978-86. Gable also was a star wrestler for Iowa State, where he finished his career 118-1 and won a gold medal at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
