Getting your player ready...

Football recruiting can get interesting for 6-man players, Adam Marostica is finding out.

The Idalia star, who led the Wolves to their second consecutive state championship and a 24-game winning streak, doesn’t exactly have college suitors beating down his door. But Division II schools Adams State, CSU-Pueblo and Western State know who he is. He would like to play for Northern Colorado, a Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) member of the Big Sky Conference, but at this point only a walk-on offer is available.

Marostica (6-feet-1, 175 pounds) scored six touchdowns in the 6-man final and piled up 337 yards rushing and receiving along with 11 tackles, an interception and a sack. He also was the Wendy’s Heisman male winner in Colorado. One of the great 6-man prep players ever was Jack Pardee, a college Hall of Famer.
