BOULDER, Colo.—A Boulder judge has reduced the bond for a former University of Colorado football linebacker who is accused of raping a 22-year-old woman at an off-campus gathering.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports that the bond for 22-year-old Michael Sipili was set at $25,000 Thursday after his attorney told the judge he wasn’t a flight risk. His bond was previously $100,000.

Sipili was charged Thursday with felony sexual assault. He is a senior at CU but no longer plays for the football team.

Sipili surrendered to police Tuesday after learning there was a warrant for him. A woman told authorities Sipili forced her to have sex with him last month.
