A man and a woman are in custody today on suspicion of robbing a Greeley credit union Thursday, Greeley Police said in a news release. They are also suspects in three other cases.

Greeley Police Sgt. Joe Tymkowych said a police booked 22-year-old Jordan Kniffen and 20-year-old Amanda Maslen, both of Greeley, into Weld County Jail last night with no bond after arresting the pair at an apartment complex at the 2800 block of 28th Street in Greeley.

Tymkowych said Kniffen entered the Credit Union of Colorado at 4:25 p.m., armed with a gun and demanding cash. Tymkowych said Kniffen ran off with an unknown amount of cash. A 911 caller notified police of the robbery as it progressed.

Greeley Police Chief Jerry Garner said in a statement the department “flooded the area with patrol officers, detectives, gang unit officers and even undercover cops.”

Tymkowych said police tracked the suspect to the apartment complex, where officers arrested both Kniffen and Maslen. Tymkowych said Kniffen faces four counts each of aggravated robbery and theft, while Maslen faces charges of complicity and conspiracy to commit robbery and theft.

Tymkowych said some of those charges stem from earlier Greeley robberies that the pair are suspects in, including one other bank, a cash advance business, and a gas station.
