The second weekend of Denver’s National Western Stock Show & Rodeo includes rodeos, trick pigs, a Wild West show and powerful dogs.
But if beef’s your passion, then today’s your day, with more Angus, Hereford, Maine-Anjou, breeding bulls and shorthorns than you can shake a carrot at.
Highlights include:
• Hunters, jumpers and other equestrian competitions, 7 a.m., Events Center.
• Pro rodeos at 11 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Coliseum.
• “Top Hogs” performing swine, 2:30 p.m., Activity Pavilion.
• Wild West Show, 5 p.m., Events Center.
• Dog pull featuring all breeds, 6 p.m., Stadium Arena.
The show is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $3 for children and $12 for anyone older than 12.
