Six days after an urn was taken from a home in Black Forest, The Gazette reports, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office thought the wooden box and the ashes of Bob Herrle’s wife were safe again.
Unfortunately for Herrle, the find proved to be nothing more than an apologetic note. Colorado Springs police received a call about a canvas bag found Saturday outside Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 5055 El Camino Drive, in central Colorado Springs. When police arrived, they found a bag with a note but no urn.
