A fire heavily damaged a home tonight in Boulder.

According to a release sent out by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported today just after 6 p.m. when a neighbor reported seeing “an orange glow.”

Firefighters responded to the 7700 block of Nikau Drive and were quickly able to put out the fire and determine that no one was in the home.

The fire caused extensive damage and the home is not habitable.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental, but remains under investigation.
