The Aurora Police Department has identified as twin brothers the two men who attempted a “takeover robbery” of a bank Friday that ended with police wounding one of the suspects.
The heavily armed Tristin Gemall McGlothin and Jovan Gemark McGlothin, both 26, went into the Citywide Bank in the 10600 block of East Colfax just after 4:30 p.m. Friday, police said.
When police arrived, the suspects were leaving the bank and tried to run. Jovan was apprehended just south of the bank. Tristin attempted to run and a police officer shot him. Tristin was transported to a hospital. His wounds were not life-threatening.
Both men were in custody at the Arapahoe County Jail for investigation of second-degree kidnapping and aggravated robbery. Each was being held on $50,000 bail. Yesenia Robles, The Denver Post
