FORT CARSON, Colo.—Electrical power has been restored at Fort Carson after service was cut because a utility pole was knocked over by high wind.

Patrice Quintero of Colorado Springs Utilities says Fort Carson was brought back on line at about 2:30 p.m. The problem was reported Monday morning.

Quintero says crews are still working to restore power to Pikes Peak Community College near the post.

A Fort Carson spokeswoman didn’t immediately return a call. Quintero says some essential Fort Carson buildings including the post hospital have backup power.
