DENVER—Icy, snowy conditions are making it impossible to reach Colorado’s mountains from Denver.
Westbound Interstate 70 between Georgetown and Silverthorne, including the Eisenhower Tunnel, was closed early Tuesday after 15 inches of snow fell at the tunnel.
Eastbound I-70 is also shut down between Silverthorne and the tunnel.
Loveland Pass and Berthoud Pass also remain closed.
The National Weather Service says the storm dropped between 6 inches to 2 feet of snow in Colorado’s High Country.
The winter storm warning is set to expire at 10 a.m.
