The National Western Stock Show can’t come to a close until the annual on-snow rodeo known as the Cowboy Downhill hits the slopes of Steamboat Springs. And that happens today for the 37th time when roughly 100 top rodeo cowboys take off in a mass-start ski race down the appropriately named “Stampede Trail” at the base of the resort at 4 p.m. Public festivities, including a concert from Cowboy Mouth, get underway at Gondola Square at 2:30 p.m.
