Three aircraft leaving Denver International Airport on Wednesday afternoon were forced to return with cracked windshields, according to a DIA spokesman.
Two United Express and one Delta aircraft taking off from DIA about 2 p.m. all experienced the problem and returned shortly after takeoff, said DIA spokesman Jeff Green. He said that it was unknown what caused the cracks and that the airlines would investigate.
