FORT LUPTON — Authorities said they know little about what led a 53-year-old to shoot his 21-year-old son in the basement of their home and then turn the gun on himself just before 6 p.m. Monday.
“They were both intoxicated,” said Weld County Sheriff’s Department Undersheriff Margie Martinez.
Both were alive Monday evening, but details were not released. Their names were not released.
