Two more suspects have been arrested in a string of Black Forest home burglaries in which an urn containing a woman’s ashes was stolen and has not been recovered.

In a twist, El Paso County sheriff’s detectives believe the thieves tried to return the urn, leaving it in a bag outside a church, but that someone else came upon the urn and took it.

Damon Brimer, 34, and Scott Farr, 29, were booked into the El Paso County jail on suspicion of taking part in the Jan. 9 break-in and other burglaries.

A third suspect, Farr’s brother Jeremy Farr, 23, was arrested Jan. 19.

A neighbor whose home was burglarized and is related to the Farrs has put up a $1,500 reward for the return of the urn holding the cremains of Terry Herrle, the late wife of another burglary victim, Bob Herrle. Lance Benzel, The Gazette
