A Denver jury once again failed to reach a verdict in the case of a topless-bar bouncer who allegedly killed a tribal leader by pinning him to the ground in a chokehold during the Democratic National Convention.
Twice, the Denver district attorney’s office has tried Bryan Coe, 42, on reckless manslaughter accusations in the death of 39-year-old Gabriel Pico outside the Diamond Cabaret.
And twice — first in May 2010 and then this week — the trials resulted in hung juries. Prosecutors are considering whether to try Coe a third time, spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough said Wednesday.
The jury voted 11-1 in favor of a guilty verdict, she said.
