Getting your player ready...
At a time when downtown Denver is adding more curb appeal to its center-city lifestyle, today you can come to a one-day sales event at what may well be the fastest selling condo project in the entire country right now. SPIRE – 41-story residential tower in downtown’s convention and performing arts hub – sold and closed 201 homes in 2010; a number that’s wowing experts and making them ask, ‘Why?’
You can make up your own mind today on what’s driving that success: the lavish amenities, the views, Performing Arts attractions, the mix of restaurants that are set to arrive. What is certain is that SPIRE is making its mark across the board; not only with younger buyers looking for reachable downtown prices, but also the experienced set, more likely to turn up opening night for Dvorak’s [ITALICS]Rusalka when it opens across the street at Ellie Caulkins Opera House next month.
There’s something for either buyer at today’s event including a chance to be in SPIRE, in a 1-bedroom with a parking space included, for $260,000; in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit with parking, for $399,000.
Or, you can look from top-down at three luxury homes above the 30th floor and served by SPIRE’s exclusive Sky Club Lounge, each with a custom interior created for PBS’s The Designer Within show. Today, all three (including the winning ‘Urbane Cowgirl’ motif by designer Lindsey Garner) are at $799,000 each. Part of the proceeds (including any furniture you choose) benefits the Kempe Foundation.
You’ll get to enjoy light lunch as part of the action. What you WON’T get today is a view of what 14th Street, all torn up now, will be when the city wraps up its 12-block ‘Ambassador Street’ makeover. “It’ll be transformative,” says Chris Crosby of Nichols Partnership, “…a place you’ll want to show out-of-town guests.” A little bit Broadway, a little bit Champs Elysees, the city is spending over $1.5 million just on SPIRE’s own block between Champa and Stout (you can see an animation on YouTube; search “Ambassador 14th Street”).
Crosby has another suggestion why SPIRE sells so well — quality. You’ll see a LEED® certified building with a walk score at 100, where if you really need a car you can swipe your card and rent a Prius. Connect by Hertz is already on site, one of six tenants that will totally fill out SPIRE’s commercial space–Row 14 (new bistro oriented to theater goers), Organic Pizza Company, coffee/wine bar, and Snarf’s sandwiches.
And then there’s the year-around pool deck, club rooms, great fitness center, dog park, Box Office theater and more. Take the Mall Shuttle to Champa; walk south to the sales center between 14th and 15th.
