Thirteen people fled into a nearby field Saturday after the driver of their vehicle was arrested on Interstate 70 for active arrest warrants during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Authorities caught 11 and continued to search for the other two, said Cpl. Eric Wynn, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
State troopers called U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, who are checking the legal status of the 11 people, he said.
The name of the driver, who is a man, has not been released.
A State Patrol trooper pulled an eastbound vehicle over near Bennett on I-70 at 6:39 a.m., Wynn said.
State Patrol used an airplane to help search for the two people still at large after jumping out of the vehicle, Wynn said.
