A Colorado Springs man has been arrested for allegedly beating two people with a “wooden Native American spiritual stick,” police said.
The incident happened Thursday at the Western Terrace Apartments, 1130 Cancun Court, according to Colorado Springs police.
Police said a 26-year-old woman was sitting in a stairwell at the apartments when a verbal confrontation ensued with a man.
A 32-year-old man intervened in the argument, and the assault suspect “took a wooden Native American spiritual stick” from the male victim and assaulted the pair.
Police identified the suspect in the assaults as 22-year-old Parris Mathis.
