The Boulder County Coroner’s Office today identified a snowboarder killed Sunday afternoon at Eldora Mountain Resort as 35-year-old Scott Richard Goodale of Boulder.
He was killed when he rode his snowboard into a tree in a closed area within the resort’s boundaries, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Goodale is the 11th person killed in skiing- and snowboarding-related activities this snow season and the fifth to die after a collision with a tree.
