CraftWorks Restaurant and Brewery Inc., which owns several Colorado restaurants and chains, is laying off 30 to 35 workers at its corporate offices, including an undisclosed number at Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery’s Louisville headquarters.

CraftWorks said in a news release that the layoffs are “a result of consolidation of resources and stronger efficiencies across all levels of the organization.” The Louisville employees were informed of the decision Friday, and the company said some would be retained to “assist in the transition.”

CraftWorks acquired Rock Bottom, which has seven restaurants in Colorado, in November 2010. It also owns Old Chicago, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group, ChopHouse Brewery, Sing Sing Dueling Pianos and Walnut Brewery, all of which have locations in Colorado.

CraftWorks is the largest brewery-restaurant operator in the country, with more than 200 locations in North America.
