URBANDALE, Iowa—Police say a Colorado man found dead under a highway overpass in the Des Moines area last weekend died of exposure.
Urbandale police on Tuesday identified the man as David Smith, of Colorado Springs, Colo. Police did not provide an age. An autopsy showed he died of exposure. Police are still awaiting toxicology results, but don’t suspect foul play.
Authorities say a person walking along the Interstate 80/35 overpass found Smith’s body Sunday morning.
