Traffic on East Arapahoe Road at South Parker Road will be detoured tonight and tomorrow night because of bridge construction.
Workers are installing girders on a new Parker Road bridge over Arapahoe Road each night and traffic will be rerouted from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The work may extend into Thursday night as well.
The detour for drivers on eastbound Arapahoe Road will turn right onto Chambers Way and drive behind the Cornerstar Mall to Parker Road.
The detour for drivers on westbound Arapahoe Road will take traffic onto Lewiston Way north around Arapahoe Crossings mall to the traffic signal at Parker Road.
Delays are expected each night and alternate routes are advised, CDOT said in a media release.
Hamon Constructors, Inc. is the contractor for the $32 million project, which should be complete by the end of November.
