Blair Griffith never expected that by sharing her story she’d get such an outpouring of support. Just days after the reigning Miss Colorado USA revealed in a story on 9News that she is homeless, Griffith has garnered worldwide attention.
Interest has come from as far away as Australia.
Friday morning, Griffith appeared on NBC’s “Today” show. She is also fielding requests from ABC’s “Good Morning America” and CBS’s “Inside Edition.”
Griffith and her mother, Bonita, were evicted from their home in November, just a month after Blair won the title of Miss Colorado USA 2011. Bonita Griffith had suffered a heart attack three years earlier, making her unable to work.
Blair continued her quest to become Miss Colorado USA in order to honor the memory of her father, Gary Griffith, who died of prostate cancer in 2003.
He was the one who encouraged Blair to enter pageants. 9News
