DOUGLAS COUNTY — A Parker boy accused of starting a fire that caused almost $200,000 in damage to two townhomes will take part in a diversion program.

Jacob Christenson, 11, was accused in juvenile proceedings in Douglas County District Court of second-degree arson. In May, Jacob and a friend lit a paper that torched the side of a townhome.

The program will include counseling and a work program to help him pay $17,000 to $23,000 in restitution.
