SNOWSHOE, W.Va.—Intrawest has named Frank DeBerry as president and chief operating officer of West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain resort.

Intrawest CEO Bill Jensen announced DeBerry’s appointment Monday.

DeBerry had come to Snowshoe on an interim basis in January. He previously served as president and chief operating officer of former Intrawest property Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey.

DeBerry replaces Bill Rock, who had served since 2005 and left to become chief operating officer of California’s Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort.

Intrawest also owns or operates ski resorts in Colorado, Vermont and Canada, as well as resort properties in Hawaii, Florida, California and Ontario. The company is moving its headquarters from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Denver by the end of the year.
