COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Prosecutors haven’t decided yet on possible charges for a woman accused of dragging a tow truck driver to his death.

Thirty-two-year-old Detra Farries is free on a $50,000 bond. She is due in court Wednesday for an advisement hearing that was postponed from Monday.

Authorities say 35-year-old Allen Rose was killed last week after an illegally parked SUV that he was preparing to tow drove away. Investigators say Rose tried to chase the SUV but got tangled in a dangling tow cable and was dragged for more than a mile.

A woman who said she was Farries’ niece told The Gazette it was an accident. Malike Clarke said her aunt was unaware that a man was being dragged behind her car until witnesses told her.
