Three people in Colorado Springs were stabbed early Sunday morning after a nightclub dispute spilled outside, police said.

The triple stabbing happened at about 12:35 a.m. on East Moreno Avenue near Southside Johnny’s, 528 S. Tejon St., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.

Officers were called to the nightclub because of a “large fight,” police said. One group involved was escorted out the front door and the other group left the bar out of a rear door. The two groups got into a second altercation on East Moreno Avenue and by the time it was over three people were stabbed.

All three were taken to a local hospital. Two were treated and released and one victim remained at the hospital with “serious injuries,” police said.

No arrests were made but the case remains under investigation, police said.
