Dozens of people were injured Friday when a tow truck hit a passenger bus in Snowmass.
A total of 20 bus passengers were taken to area hospitals, according to the Colorado State Patrol. None of the passengers’ injuries was life-threatening. Two passengers from the tow truck also were transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.
The tow-truck driver, Bailey Hall-Sansom, 21, was cited for careless driving causing bodily injury, a misdemeanor.
At 9:49 a.m., the truck, which was heading east on Colorado 82 smashed into a Roaring Fork Transportation Authority bus that was crossing the highway on Brush Creek Road, according to the State Patrol. The bus was traveling to the Snowmass Ski Area.
