Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide on Tuesday, in honor of Limon police officer Jay Sheridan.
Sheridan, 27, was killed Wednesday while serving a fugitive warrant in Limon. Sheridan was a six-year veteran on the Limon Police Department.
Sheridan is survived by his wife; a daughter; his parents; and a brother and sister. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday in Limon. Gov. Hickenlooper will attend the funeral.
